Have you always wanted to keep honey bees, but didn’t know where to start? Here’s your chance! Learn beekeeping from Dodge Nature Center staff during the 2021 season. We’ll meet regularly from spring to fall at Shepard Farm in Cottage Grove. You'll have access at the farm to a colony of bees, a hive, a beekeeping suit to use for the season, and all the equipment needed. Together, we'll work our bees, from starting a new package in the spring to harvesting honey at summer’s end.
Please register for the appropriate level: $650 for new beekeepers, $450 for returning Dodge beekeepers.
This class meets starting in April (see dates below). Please register by March 15, 2021.
